The Sanitaire SC5845 Commercial Bagless Upright Vacuum/HEPA is an upright bagless vacuum that has received the coveted Green Label seal of approval by the Carpet and Rug Institute. The Sanitaire SC5845 has a commercial grade motor and is built for durability.
Although the SC5845 is especially designed for heavy duty commercial applications it can be used equally well at home.

Features & Performance
The SC5845 is preassembled and is usable straight out of the box. Powered by a 10 amp motor, the cleaner has sufficient suction power to take care of even the most demanding of cleaning requirements. In spite of the motor being commercial grade, it makes very little noise.
Carpets can be a storehouse of dust, dust mites, pollen and other microscopic allergens. The SC5845 has a sealed HEPA filtration system. The vacuum ensures that 99.97% of all allergens up to 0.3 microns in size are absorbed by its HEPA filter.
The filter is machine washable and can be easily replaced after use. The vacuum is a bagless vacuum cleaner with a dirt cup system. The dirt cup needs to be emptied periodically.
Two salient features on the usability front are the 15" wide cleaning path and the 40' long power cord. The wide cleaning path helps you to cover more area and helps cut down vacuuming time. The long power cord helps you to extend the reach of the vacuum cleaner.
The carpet also features seven height adjustments and enables you to clean carpets of all widths. It also has a clog free hose design.
Summary
The SC689 is backed by Electrolux one of the world's largest manufacturers of consumer and professional appliances. The model has been approved by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and is certified by UL (Underwriters Laboratories).
It is slightly expensive. But it is an effective commercial grade vacuum cleaner with a number of features and the Green Label™ seal of approval from the CRI (Carpet and Rug Institute).
