The Bissell 37603 Lift-Off Revolution Deluxe Upright Bagless Vacuum with the patented lift-off feature makes it easy to clean stairs and other difficult to reach places. The Bissell 37603 is the right vacuum cleaner for pet owners.
Features and Performance
The vacuum cleaner is powered by a 12 amp motor that provides powerful suction power. As with most vacuums sold today, this is a bagless design. The basic problem with bags is that you might not know when you need to replace them. A bagless design also means you don't need to buy or keep in stock bags anymore for your vacuum.
The dirt collects in a canister that is easily detachable. Just detach the canister and carry it so that you can use the vacuum in smaller and difficult to reach places such as you car or closet. Its powerful suction, 15 inch wide cleaning head and rotating brush will pick up hidden vast amounts of dirt and pet hair from your carpets.
Turn off the rotating brush and set the height adjustment when you need to clean bare floors. The Lift-Off 37603 has 7 different height settings that enable you to adjust the vacuum for different types of surfaces.
A HEPA filter in a vacuum is absolutely necessary. The HEPA media filter in this model captures up to 99.9% of dust mites, pollens, and ragweed, assuring you of a allergy free home. The filters can be cleaned very easily.
The machine is available with a number of useful attachments such as the Telescopic cleaning wand and the stretch hose. The stretch hose helps you to clean corners of walls, ceiling fans, curtains and crevices and other difficult to reach places.
Summary
Generally speaking the feedback about this model has been good. Users have liked the suction power and the vacuums ability to draw out dirt from deep within their carpets. They have liked the fact that the vacuum works well on hard surfaces as well.
There are a few issues such as the filters getting clogged very easily and the need to open up the vacuum and remove stuck pet hair. Even in such cases, troubleshooting has been very easy and the vacuum is ready for use in a short period of time.
All in all a powerful vacuum that does a good job with a few irritants that are not very bothersome.

Very heavy vacuum to push, cleaning is not the best. The turbo brush broke in a week. To do the stairs not very easy. I disagree with someother people.
Piece of crap.

This vacuum is the biggest disappointment I've had in a long time. I bought this after hearing how wonderful it was with pet hair. It does pick it up, but the dirt container gets all jammed up inside, so to clean it out you get dirt and dust all over everywhere! THe small power attachment never worked. The hose is impossible to disengage and I have to fight to get it off to use the attachments. It's also heavy and bulky to move around. After less than a year, I'm ready to take it to the landfill and get a different vacuum.Bissel
Head to Head with a Dyson - here is the breakdown

My husband bought this for me near Easter time thinking it would be a huge help to me to have 2 vaccuums, as we have a four level home. I was thrilled! I saw this lift off revolution before and thought it would be great. I already had a Dyson....so want to know how they stack up? WARNING: the results are grim for Bissell.
These are my thoughts on the first use of the Bissell Lift off:
First of all, easy to put together. That is a plus. But so was the Dyson.
When running the Bissell, a very annoying aspect is that the brush stops rolling at the slightest tilt of the vacuum upward. Very frustrating! Does not allow for very much manuevering.
The hose is terrible. It gets me cranky just to have to use it. It has a twist "locking and unlocking" part that consistently unlocks itself. Utterly annoying and difficult to use. You also have to put the hose together each time of use. I don't really like that.
The hose suction is hardly there. Very dissapointing.
The turbo brush is great...for a turbo brush that is. These have never been my favorite new invention because they are so wide that it is difficult to clean the edges of stairs. But this one on the bissell is small enough and it has rubber grippers that work great on pet hair. Best turbo brush I've used by far, definitely beats my Dyson turbo brush.
The machine runs hot, almost as if it is overheating. Hot air blows at you from the back. THis is disturbing.
The vacuum shoots things out a bit.
Overall, it is an okay vaccuum but not one of the best. I was hoping that it would be comparable to my Dyson and I would have two monsters in my home.
But sadly, the Dyson killed the Bissell on vaccumming. I've had my Dyson for over a year and it works amazing. I have 4 little kids and 2 dogs, and it hasn't conked out on me yet. I have gone through so many vacuumms that I am afraid this Bissell will be in the trash in no time.
Sorry guys!
It's not working

I bought it in local store in 2006. I have ever used it only less than 5 times so far because it doesn't pick up anything. The brush stirs up hairs and leave them on carpet. In fact, when I am trying to clean inside, it's surprised me there is nothing there. It simply doesn't work. It's light and quiet. Otherwise, I will rate it 0.
Perfect pet vacuum

This vacuum is a dream - I had no idea cleaning a rug covered in dog hair could be so easy. The pet brush attachment is great as well - super easy to use and so far has sucked all the hair up without me having to pull hair out at the end. I would have bought this so much sooner had I known how great it was!

With extended suction power for spotless carpets, Bissell offers their Lift-Off Revolution Deluxe bagless vacuum for household cleaning needs. The upright 12-amp vacuum offers turbo power and seven height levels to accommodate a wide variety of floor and carpet types, while eradicating both deeply embedded debris and light layers of dust. With a long-lasting HEPA filter, the vacuum also improves an environment's air quality, stripping away dust mites, ragweed, and most grass pollen. The vacuum further endears itself to users with its detachable body, leaving the upright frame behind for the more portable canister format that better suits cleaning stairs and other elevated terrains.
To ensure a clean carpet, the 15-inch wide vacuum head features a helpful headlight to illuminate soiled patches. Using Bissell's new Revolution System, the vacuum sucks dirt and debris from even the plushest carpet for heavy-duty cleaning. Debris travels through a HEPA media filter into a sealed dust cup. An indicator light alerts users of the need to change the filter and one extra filter set accompanies the vacuum. The dust cup detaches from the vacuum body for easy emptying. The cleaner comes equipped with a special TurboBrush to conquer pet hair and vertical stair cleaning. Rotating brush power can be obtained by flipping a switch. Additional attachments include a telescopic extension wand, dusting/upholstery combo tool, bare floor tool, crevice tool, and an extra-reach hose. A shoulder strap also allows simple transport of the cleaner when used in canister mode. The power cord spans 35 feet in distance. For the best results, the HEPA filter should be replaced every three years and should never be washed. Bissell offers a one-year warranty for this item. The vacuum measures 15 by 13-3/4 by 44 inches and weighs 29.3 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling
